This is a private reference site, not a Rich County government office. We cannot confirm custody status, release a person, post bond, schedule jail activity, or retrieve official booking records. For those actions, contact the sheriff, jail, court, corrections agency, or records office that controls the record.
Where to Check First
For current Rich County jail questions, start with the Rich County Sheriff's Office under Sheriff Dale Stacey. The sheriff's mailing address is P.O. Box 38, Randolph, UT 84064. The county and court complex is listed at 20 S. Main, Randolph, UT 84064, and the county's general office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Jail and dispatch questions can be directed to (435) 793-2285 or the alternate dispatch/jail line at (435) 946-3210. Records, civil process, and office secretary questions use (435) 222-5977; the jail commander/head dispatcher line is (435) 222-5976; fax is (435) 793-3122.
Written sheriff records requests can be emailed to secretary@richcounty.gov or mailed to P.O. Box 38, Randolph, UT 84064. A request should include the requester's name, address, daytime phone number, a specific description of the record, and a copy of valid government photo ID. Local records instructions list a ten-day grace period, possible Sheriff and County Attorney approval, and fees such as $35 for a GRAMA request, $25 for a police report, and $25 for a DI-9 accident report.
Rich County does not appear to publish an official public online jail roster, so the right search path depends on what you are trying to confirm.
- For someone believed to be in the Rich County Jail, use the guidance on jail inmate records and call the jail/dispatch line before relying on any outside listing.
- For booking photos, use jail roster mugshots; Utah law limits when county booking photographs are released.
- For charges filed after an arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and the Rich County Justice or District Court contacts.
- For facility details, use the detention facility page listed in the footer. The only Rich County adult detention facility identified in official sources is the Rich County Jail.
- For a sentenced or supervised state prisoner, search the Utah Department of Corrections offender locator, not the county jail.
- For a federal inmate or immigration detainee, use the federal BOP inmate locator, U.S. Marshals information, or the ICE Online Detainee Locator System.
